Firstly, as Massage Therapy is a second career for me, I realize even more how fortunate I am to have found work that I love. The more I learn about the human body and the more I discover about my own body, the more it fascinates me and moves me to learn more and share what I learn in order to help others realize, appreciate and enjoy an improved quality of this amazing gift of life.
Massage therapy has many purposes and may mean something different to each person. For me, massage is a holistic resource to manage/reduce pain, improve mobility, release stress and tension in the body, prevent and/or facilitate healing from injury, manage anxiety and depression, inhibit the rate of degeneration, and the list goes on. Not only that, but it is an opportunity to learn and become more aware and connected to our body in a way that can improve our overall understanding, usage of and relationship to our physical self.
I graduated from The Soma Institute in Chicago, IL in 2019, which is a clinically oriented massage therapy program and have been working in a Chiropractic office since July 2019. I have completed several continuing education certifications including Cupping Massage and Lymphatic Drainage Massage along with extensive experience with Gua Sha / Graston, Craniosacral, stretching and sports techniques. I am continually adding modalities, experience and knowledge to my toolbox that will help me help you. While I find all of my education useful, clients and patients tend to value my deep tissue/myofascial release techniques, use of tools like scraping and cupping, and Craniosacral Therapy.
My goal is to provide a safe, professional, relaxing, healing environment, and to customize each session to meet the needs and goals of the client to help improve quality of life.
